INSTRUCTIONAL PROCEDURES:

STEP 1: The teacher revises the previous lesson and introduces the topic of vocabulary related to home and family. The teacher explains the importance of understanding the language of family relationships and common household items.

  • Learners listen, observe, and participate in the discussion.

STEP 2: Teacher introduces common nouns related to family and home, such as family members (father, mother, brother, sister), household items (furniture, kitchen utensils), and home-related verbs (clean, cook, sweep).

  • Learners observe and participate in identifying words related to home and family.

STEP 3: The teacher gives examples of how these words are used in sentences, e.g., “My father is cooking dinner in the kitchen,” or “We clean the house every weekend.”

  • Learners make sentences using the vocabulary.

 

EVALUATION:

  • Define vocabulary related to home and family.
  • Give 5 examples of family members and household items.
  • Complete a sentence completion exercise: “My ______ is cooking in the ______.”
  • Identify 3 verbs associated with home activities.
  • List 5 common nouns used for family members.
  • Match the vocabulary with their definitions (e.g., father - a male parent).
  • Fill in the blanks with appropriate family vocabulary: “My ______ works as a doctor, and my ______ takes care of the home.”

CLASS-WORK:

  • Write 10 sentences using 5 family-related vocabulary words.
  • Create a family tree diagram using the words learned (father, mother, brother, etc.).

ASSIGNMENT:

  • Write a short paragraph (6-8 sentences) about your family using at least 10 vocabulary words related to home and family.

CONCLUSION:

The teacher marks students’ work, corrects errors, and commends students for participation.
