  3. Discuss solutions to obstacles to physical development in youth- good hygiene, balanced diet, regular exercise, sleep
  4. State and Discuss the factors that hinder Nation Unity

  7. Describe the punishment for extortion

She Explains that Physical development is the process that starts in human infancy and continues into late adolescent concentrating on gross and fine motor skills as well as puberty.

As a Child learns what their bodies can do, they gain self-confidence, promoting social and emotional development.

Physical Development is divided into 2 areas:

Growth and development

Growth- is the physical changes of the increase in size, height and weight.

Development- is how children gain control over their physical actions to do complicated and difficult activities more skillfully and easily.

Obstacles To Youth Physical Development

1. Lack Of Sleep- a child need to sleep well in order to allow the body organs rest for a while

2. Lack of Exercise- A child who do not exercise will develop weak limbs

3. Diseases- This weaken the child and cause some deformity in him

4. Poor Diet- This makes the child weak and unfit.

Solutions To Obstacles To Youth Physical Development

1. Children should be allowed to sleep well.

2. They should be encourage to do regular exercise

3. They should be encouraged to maintain personal hygiene

4. They should be given good diet which contain protein, starch, oil and vitamins.

5. Total Cleanliness and care of body- eyes, nose, mouth, hands, fingernails, leg, toe nail, private part.

She gives the Factors that Hinder National Unity

1. Dependency on one major source of revenue from a section of a country, which logically profiles and categories other sections as parasitic.

2. Manipulation of sectional, religious and ethnic sentiments and sensibilities of Nigerians by the political class

3. Fading memory of the tragedy of secession and war: Lost lessons of history.

4. The slow death of the nationalistic and patriotic spirit in the hearts and minds of Nigerians, evidenced with the perennial indifferent to Oct 1st Independence Day celebration

5. The rise of a new restive and angry generation without value for, interest in or sense of history

6. A succession of failed governments, economic paralyses and widening gulf between the have and the have nots.

7. Deliberate or negligent suffocation of institution established to promote national unity e.g NYSC, Federal Government College.

8. Retention of National political and socio economic culture which emphasizes on sharing of national cake as against the baking of national cake.

9. Inequalities of a pyramid structure, a rich few over a poor many.

She Define Crime as an illegal activity or action which an individual commits inany society. It is a breach of a rule of law by which punishment may be dished out by the governing authorities.

Common Crimes include:

1. Bribery And Corruption- Corruption is dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power, typically involving bribery. Bribery is offering, giving or receiving anything of value with the intention of inducing a person to act or to reward a person for having acted

             Punishment

Official Corruption is a felony punishable by a 7-year jail imprisonment. Giving bribes to public officials is part of official corruption and it is punishable with 7 years imprisonment.

2. Extortion- This is the unlawful exaction of money or property through intimidation.

               Punishment

Attempts at extortion by threats is punishable by imprisonment for 14 years. In any other case, the offender is liable to imprisonment for 3 years.

3. Embezzlement- This is theft or misappropriation of funds placed in one’s trust or belonging to one’s employer.

              Punishment

A conviction for embezzlement usually results in a fine, imprisonment, restitution, or all three. Each state has its own penalty scheme that often depends on the value or type of property embezzled.
