An Industry is a building where manufacturing of a type of material for trade is produced. An Industry could also be defined as a work place where processes involved in collecting raw materials and making them into new products are carried out.

1. Small Scale Industries

2. Medium Scale Industries

1. Small Scale Industries: This is defined as an industry with a total capital base of at least 15 million naira. These small scale industries produce in small scale or in micro-scale level.

Examples of small scale businesses are industries that produce:

1. Napkin

2. Tissues

3. Chocolates

4. Tooth pick

5. Water bottle

6. Small toys

7. Paper and stationary.

Importance Of Small Scale Industries.

Small scale industries produce goods and services needed for our domestic needs.

2. It keeps the local population busy and employed.

3. It keeps our youths off the street and gets them busy

4. It provides money for business owners

5. Small scale industries provides economic base for the national total output
