INTRODUCTION

The teacher revises the previous lesson on crops that can be packaged and daily and weekly cleaning of areas in the home

She explains the meaning of market, marketing and gives reasons for marketing agricultural produce

 

A market is defined as the sum total of all the buyers and sellers in the area or region under consideration.

 

Marketing refers to activities a company undertakes to promote the buying or selling of a product or service. Marketing includes advertising, selling, and delivering products to consumers or other businesses.

 

Reasons for marketing agricultural produce

1. to optimize resource utilization and output management. Reducing losses caused by inefficient processing, storage, and transportation, and an efficient marketing system can also help to enhance the marketable surplus

2. it brings about better income for the farmers

3. it expands the market for products by bringing them to outlying areas both inside and outside the country, i.e., locations far from the point of production.

4. it promotes the expansion of agro-based companies while also stimulating the economy’s general development

5. it facilitates the adoption of new scientific and technical information.

6. Millions of people are employed by the marketing system in a variety of operations such as packing, transportation, storage, and processing.

Kitchen is where a food is kept, prepared, and cooked and where the dishes are washed.

The main functions of a kitchen are to store, prepare and cook food (and to complete related tasks such as dishwashing). The room or area may also be used for dining (or small meals such as breakfast), entertaining and laundry.

 

Types of kitchen

1. Traditional kitchen

Types of Kitchen Layout

1. The One Wall Kitchen. Usually found in smaller kitchens, this simple layout is space efficient without giving up on functionality.

2. The Galley Kitchen.

3. The L-Shaped Kitchen.  

4. The U-Shaped Kitchen.

5. The Island Kitchen.

6. The Peninsula Kitchen.
