(1 Sam18:1-19) -David was the son of Jesse who fought goliath and killed him with a stone, -He was asked to live in Saul’s house so that he would play the harp for him because an evil spirit took control of Saul -One day Saul wanted to kill David with a spear but God saved David. -Jonathan was the son of Saul. He liked David and became his best friend. -Saul told Jonathan and his officers to kill David, but Jonathan pleaded on behalf of David that there was no reason to kill him - Jonathan and David devise a means of communication to prevent David from being killed. | Pupils pay attention and participate |
