INTRODUCTION OF TOPIC

The teacher revises the previous lesson Topic On military rule in Nigeria.

EXPLANATION

She then explains that Muhammadu Buhari was born on the 17th day of Dec, 1947 at Daura in Kastina. He led the Military coup of 1983 that removed the democratically elected civilian administration of president Alhaji Shehu Shagari from office.

She describes the Activities Of Gen. Buhari as military head of state.

1. He fought against the social and economic decay of Nigeria.

2. He made decrees to fight smuggling, drug trafficking and oil bunkering.

3. Buhari introduced a new social order in Nigeria when he launched War Against Indiscipline( WAI)

4. Buhari made decrees and special tribunals to try corrupt politicians and public servants sending some of them to prison and recovering their ill gotten wealth.

5. Buhari expelled all illegal foreigners in Nigeria in order to create Job for Nigerians.
