SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  • Explain Motif, pattern and design
  • Describe the various nature of cards
  • State the uses of card
  • Produce cards for a particular ceremony

INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNIQUES: Identification, explanation, playway method, questions and answers, demonstration

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: The Teacher uses Cards, Sketch book, colour, crayon, brushes, pencils, books, greeting cards, paper. etc

INTRODUCTION OF THE TOPIC

The teacher introduces Pattern and design as the arrangement of lines or shapes.

She defines Motif as the repeated lines or shapes at a regular interval over a surface

She explains that Pattern and shape are very important in card making to communicate the intended messages.
