NOTE
THE PROMISED LAND
Throughout the 40 years of travelling in the wilderness, the Israelites showed lack of faith. Even Moses had moments of when his faith was weak, because of this Moses could not enter the Promised Land.
Upon entering Moab a land not far from Canaan, Moses told the Israelites that he was near death and reminded them of all God had done for them. Moses appointed Joshua to lead the people into Canaan and gave blessing to each of the 12 tribes. Moses went to Mount Nebo where God showed him Canaan, the Promised Land and he died there.. After the death of Moses, Joshua led the Israelites. Joshua led the people into the bank of the Jordan River. There were people living in Canaan; they would not easily give up the land that has been promised to the Israelites. So the Israelites raged war against the inhabitants of Canaan land and God gave them victory.
