His administration recorded the following failures:

1. Buhari’s regime sidelined a good portion of Nigerians by his severe and ruthless measures. He thus stepped on many toes and hence his removal.

2. His government banned trade union, student union, and activities of the medical union in the country.

3. He made decrees that forbade the freedom of press.

4. Buhari failed to feel the pulse of the people in his austerity measures.

5. His government arranged and agreed to a debt repayment policy that placed too much burden on Nigerians.
