STEP 2 EXPLANATION | She then explains the Origin of Islamic Religion. Islam was founded by prophet Mohammad. He was born in Mecca about 571AD. At the age of 40, he began to have revelations from Allah that became the basis for the Koran and the foundation of Islam. The Muslim world believes that Prophet Mohammad was the last prophet sent from God to human race. He died from Poisoning in632AD. Before then, he had unified most of the Arabians under a single religion, Islam in 630AD.
