A colloquialism is an informal expression that is used more often in relaxed conversation than in formal speech or writing
Here are a list of some colloquialisms and their meanings 1. Ace - word to describe something excellent 2. Anorak - someone who is a little bit of a geek with expertise usually in an obscure niche 3. Blimey - exclamation of surprise 4. Bloke - a regular man or "guy" 5. Boot - the trunk of a car 6. Brilliant - something that's really great 7. Brolly - an umbrella 8.
