NOTE

Employment means work done to earn a living while unemployment means having no work to do to earn money.

Consequences Of Unemployment

1. It Increases Crime rates
2. It increases dependency rate
3. It reduces Investment
4. It leads to overcrowding in towns and cities
5. It Increases Street begging

Ways To Reduce Unemployment

1. Encouraging Farmers
2. Encouraging Self- Employment
3. Establishment of Industries by Government
4. Provision of soft loans to unemployed people
5. Restructuring the Educational system.

Pressure group is a group of people with common goals and interest with collective action to protect their interest.

Examples of Pressure group: Workers Union like NUC, ASUU, NUT, etc

Importance/ Advantage Of Pressure Groups

1. Protecting member’s interest
2. Keeping the Government in check
3. Providing welfare services
4. Assisting non-members i.e non-privileged members.
5. Fighting the cause of the common man in society.

Disadvantages of Pressure Groups

1. Can make it difficult for government to implement policies
2. Can make unattainable demands etc.
3. They may encourage social disorder
4. Misinformation.

Information Security is the protection of electronic information from unauthorized activities.

Examples of Information Security are password, passcode, etc.

Examples Of Information Security

1. Fingerprint- This is a finger recognition that confirm individual identity using their thumb.

2. Face Scanner- This is a facial recognition that confirm individual identity using their face.

3. Eye Scanner- This is a eye recognition that confirm individual identity using their eyeball

4. Authentication- This is an additional code or pin used immediately after other password or passcode. It is used to add confirm identity of the user.

1. It increases accountability
2. It foster a culture of empowerment and improvement
3. It demonstrates a consistent information security
4. It improves security capacity and capability
5. It guarantee good Governance and organization engagement
