SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  • Define play acting
  • Define Role play costume
  • Define Make up

INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNIQUES: Identification, explanation, playway method, questions and answers, demonstration

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: The Teacher uses Pictures/posters of actors/actresses, Sample costumes and make up kit, Lighting and make up.

INTRODUCTION OF THE TOPIC

The teacher introduces role acting as one’s ability to impress and entertain people in a play or drama

NOTE

ROLE PLAYING- This is one’s ability to imitate the character and behavior of another person different from his/herself.

COSTUME-This is an outfit that enables someone to be suitable for a particular role.

MAKE UP- This is something used to create appearance different from ones original look during a play

EVALUATION: 1)Define a play

2)Explain what costume and makeup are and state there meaning

CLASSWORK: As in evaluation
CONCLUSION: Teacher commends the pupils positively and marks their books
