NOTE (On the Board): Percentage Calculation:

  • Percentage = (part / whole) × 100 Example: 25 out of 50 → (25/50) × 100 = 50%
    To calculate the ratio of two numbers, divide the first number by the second.

 

EVALUATION:

  • Ask pupils to calculate the percentage of 25 out of 50, 18 out of 30, and 7 out of 14.

CLASSWORK:

  • Find the percentage of 35 out of 50, 12 out of 20.
  • Solve problems on the board as a group.

ASSIGNMENT:

  • Solve 10 percentage problems, including real-life examples (discounts, price reductions).

CONCLUSION:
The teacher concludes the lesson by praising the pupils for their understanding of percentages and reminds them to practice using percentages in their daily lives.
