SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to;

  1. Explain the meaning of Gender
  2. Describe the four groups of gender and their examples
  3. Mention the gender of some proper nouns, common nouns and animals

The teacher  explains the four groups of gender

1. Masculine gender- this is for the male e.g boy, man uncle, nephew

2. Feminine gender- this is used for the female e.g female, sister, girl, mother, niece

3. Common gender- this is for either male or female e.g baby, infant, guardian, pupil

4. Neuter gender- this is for things without life e.g house, book, table, bag etc

 

She further lists the examples of genders of some proper nouns, common nouns and animals
