SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  1. Explain what God means by He wants us to be creative
  2. List the things made by man
  3. Explain the significance of creation as a sign of God’s love to man

Instructional Techniques: Identification, explanation, playway method, questions and answers, demonstration, story-telling

Instructional Materials: Bible, picture of beautiful things around created by God, map of the world, pictures of beautiful things created by man

The teacher revisits the previous lesson on God’s plan for us

EXPLANATION

The teacher further explains what God means when he said He wants us to be creative

Because we are born in the image and after the Likeness of God who is a creator, He expects us to be creative just like Him. In our design is His creative DNA which He placed in us as the continual of His legacy of creation

The teacher lists some of the things made by man

1. cars

2. airplanes

3. Trains

4. Ships

5. submarines

6. rockets

7. air conditioners

8. Deep freezers

9. Earth moving machines

14. Electric bulb etc

 

The teacher further explains the significance of creation as a sign of God’s love for man   

1. God wants us to be like Him. As He acts in heaven, so He wants us to act on the earth

2. We are His representatives on the earth and as such He has empowered us to function like Him.

3. Even though man is a little lower than angels, God crowned man with honour and glory
