SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  • Explain the meaning of paper mache
  • Process of preparing paper mache

INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNIQUES: Identification, explanation, playway method, questions and answers, demonstration

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: The Teacher uses Old news paper, starch, water, oil, paint, brush, cup and plate.

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION OF THE TOPIC

The teacher introduces Modeling as the act of building up an object with paper mache

She defines paper mache as mashed old paper or newspaper mixed with starch and water to make an object.

She explains that Papers when soaked can be use to design objects, or drawings to beautify the art

She uses newspaper, water, starch as she demonstrate how Paper marche is done as the pupils watch and also follows her step

The teacher writes on the board while the pupils copy the note

PROCESS OF PREPARING PAPER MACHE

  1. Get old daily newspaper
  2. Tear them into pieces
  3. Soak in a bucket with water for two days
  4. Remove it and mix well with starch

2)Explain the meaning of modeling of Paper mache
