The teacher revises the previous lesson on Jesus gave his life for us

EXPLANATION

She narrates the story how Jesus gave his life for us

-      Jesus Christ went through a lot of sufferings, tortures and pains because of how weighty the sins of the world was. The sin of mankind was too great and damning as eventually going to lead to death. Jesus even though He was innocent had to take up the baggage of the sins of mankind upon himself.

-      He was stripped bare, flogged 39 strokes of the cane, spat on and thoroughly mocked

-      He was hung on the cross, worn a crown of thorns, given a sponge of sour wine and pierced on his side.

-      All these he bore so that mankind may die no more but rather have eternal life

Pupils pay attention and anticipate

The teacher explains the importance of Jesus giving His life for us

1. So that mankind will die no more

2. So that mankind can have eternal life

3. So that mankind can have access to God Almighty

4. So that mankind can receive God’s precious of the Holy Spirit

5. So that mankind will no longer suffer for their sins

 

The teacher also highlights the moral lessons from how Jesus gave His life for us

1. We are loved by God so much

2. Those who believe in what Christ has suffered for them have eternal life now

3. Jesus was very sacrificial and we shouldn’t waste His sacrifice for us
