SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  1. Mention something that can hinder our prayers.
  2. State what they asked for in their prayers.
  3. Explain how God answered their Prayers.

Instructional Materials: toys, picture book showing the raising of Lazarus, Bible, story book

The Teacher uses ‘ Prayer is the key’ song to introduce this topic.

EXPLANATION

The teacher explains the Things that hinder the power of prayer

1. sin

2. unbelief

3. unforgiveness

4. Lack of concentration

5. Not praying according to the scriptures

6. Asking for what will endanger one’s self and others

Pupils pay attention and participate

DEMONSTRATION

The teacher demonstrates praying when there are visible hindrances to the prayer and why God will not answer such prayers
