The teacher revises the previous lesson on The Nigeria People

She then explains the meaning of  historical sites and features

 

Historical sites and features are places that are deemed as culturally and historically important

She then lists some rivers in Nigeria and their locations

1. Anambra river- named by the white men as ‘Anam branch of the river Niger”, it is located in Anambra state

2. River Niger-is the third longest river in west Africa. It is believed to have been named by the Greeks. It is brownish in colour.

3. Kaduna River- it rises from Jos in plateau state. It means ‘crocodiles’. It is used mainly for fishing and transporting local produce

4. River Benue; formerly known as the chadda river is light green in colour. It is an important transportation route as it is navigable during the summer months
