  1. Explain who/what a character is
  2. Develop a character and write a story about the character

The teacher introduces the new topic by defining what/who a character is

A character is a person or other being in a narrative

The teacher ask the pupils to list their favourite fiction/non-fiction characters.

 

The teacher then ask the pupils to develop a character and story around the character
