SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to;
ENTRY BEHAVIOR: Pupils can identify and recite all the letters of the alphabets and the vowels
SET INDUCTION: The teachers uses the ‘Bossy R’ song to arouse the pupils’ interest
INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNIQUES: Discussion, group activities, songs
INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Objects with the ‘ery’ and ‘ory’ grapheme, chart showing objects with the ‘ery’ and ‘ory’ grapheme sound, white board, dry erase marker, clue cards

PERIOD 1 AND 2: Recognition, spelling and reading the ‘ery’ graphemes
