SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  1. Explains the different forms of prayer.
  2. Identify people in the Bible that prayed.
  3. State reasons why people pray the different forms of prayer.

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The Teacher uses the ‘Pray everyday’ song  to introduce the topic

She explains that Prayer is a lifestyle to a Christian and that it is the key to solve problems

Pupils pay attention

EXPLANATION

She explains that through prayer one can ask God to do things for him which he cannot do as seen in the life of Daniel

Pupils pay attention and participate

DEMONSTRATION

Using the Bible story books and the pictures there in she tells the story of Daniel in the Lion den

         -How some people conspired against Daniel

       -How they got the King to sign a decree that Prevents Daniel from praying to God

         -How Daniel disobeyed the decree and how he was thrown into the Lion den

         -How he Survived and God gave him victory.

           Dan 6:1-28

NOTE

Prayer is a lifestyle to a Christian and that it is the key to solve problems. Through prayer one can ask God to do things for him which he cannot do as seen in the life of Daniel

The story of Daniel and the Lion’s den Dan 6:1-28

Some people conspired against Daniel because he was always praying to God. They got the king to sign a decree that prevents Daniel from praying to God.

Daniel loved God too much to stop praying so he disobeyed the decree and because of this, he was thrown into the Lion’s den.

God saved Daniel by sending an angel to shut the mouth of the Lion. And eventually those who conspired against him were thrown into the lion’s den were they were turn to pieces

 

Evaluation: 1. Narrate the story of Daniel in the Lion’s den

  1. What are the moral lessons from the story of Daniel

CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the pupils positively.
