The teacher revises the previous lesson on culture and introduces religion as  a strong belief in a supernatural power or powers that control human destiny.

The teacher revises the previous lesson on differences between the various types of government and suspicious movement.

Explanation

The teacher explains that the government in Nigeria consists of three separate levels:

1. The federal government- this is the top level government with three arms- legislative, executive, and judicial. The constitution provides a separation and balance of powers among the three arms. It is the body of people who controls public affairs of a nation at the federal level

2. The state government- is the second level of government  is a body of people who controls public affairs of a nation at the state level. The affairs of many local governments is under the state government. The state government is headed by a governor and assisted by a commissioner, special adviser.

3. The local government- is a body of people who controls public affairs of a nation at the local level. This is also known as the grassroots government. It is the government closet to the people.
