STATES CREATION UNDER GEN SANI ABACHA-1996

In 1996, he created 6 new states; Ebonyi was carved out of Abia and Enugu, Bayelsa from Rivers, Nassarawa from Plateau, Zamfara from Sokoto, Gombe from Bauchi, and Ekiti from Ondo state.

Here are the list of the 36 states under his regime:
