Specific objectives: at the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  1. Generate ways of our belief
  2. Identify means and method of worship
  3. Explain how to respect other people belief and tradition
  4. Explain solutions to problem facing government
  5. Discuss ways bribery and corruption can be stopped.

Instructional techniques: identification, explanation, playway method, questions and answers, demonstration, videos from source

Instructional materials: charts and real copies of bible, Quran, candle, dress and iron, chart showing possible solutions to the problems faced by the government

Introduction

The teacher revises the previous lesson on culture

She explains that being kind to people of other faith is a must in a diverse world like Nigeria.. Just having that skill can help one to develop a lot of great friendships and learn a lot about other traditions and cultures.

She explains that we must learn to listen to other people’s view, because there may be things to learn from them and to show that we consider other people’s views important.

  why we must respect other people view, beliefs and tradition

5.   One will make more interesting friends.

She States the solution to the problems of government in Nigeria:

Solution to federal government

1. Corrupt and lazy workers must be found out and punished by government.

2. Well organized and trained officials should be established to ensure the payment of tax

3. The issue of religion  favouritism should be tackled for the smooth running of operation in the federal level

Solution to state government

1. More money should be Staten to the state government to enable it develop the communities

2. A mutual agreement should be set in place between the federal , state and local government.

3.resource should readily be distributed to the state to adequately provide for the communities and basic amenities.
