  3. Identify the letter name of the different notes in the recorder
  4. Match the notes with the letters of the lines and spaces of the staff

INTRODUCTION

The teacher revisits the previous lesson about musical notes and their values and introduces the new topic by explaining and classifying a recorder-

 

A recorder is a type of musical instrument like a flute that belongs to the woodwind family

EXPLANATION

Using the live example she names the basic parts of the recorder

1. the head joint

2. the body joint

3. the foot joint

Pupils pay attention and participates

DEMONSTRATION

She then explains the letter name of different notes in the recorder and matches it to the lines and spaces of the staff/stave
