  1. Discuss animals exhibiting the characteristics of living things

INTRODUCTION

The revisits the previous lesson on the classes and characteristics of animals and introduces the new topic by explaining what features mean- Feature means something that is noticeable about someone or something

The teacher then explains the various features of animals

1. Tail – elephant, dog

2. Shell – turtle, snail

3. Beak- chicken, duck

4. Wings- butterfly, bird

5. Claws- Tiger, cat

She explains and demonstrates the features of the animals based on the points stated above as the pupils observe

Features of animals

INTRODUCTION

The teacher revisits the previous lesson on tool bars and introduces the new topic by explaining what menu bar means- Menu bar is a user interface element that contains selectable commands and options for a specific program

EXPLANATION

The teacher then explains the menu bar is directly below the title bar and contains of tools namely

 

1. File menu- The File menu in an application is used to open, save and close a document or image. It is also used to print the contents of the current open document or image, as well as to exit the program.

 

2. Edit menu- The Edit menu is a menu-type graphical control element found in most computer programs that handle files, text or images. It is often the second menu in the menu bar, next to the file menu.

 

3. View menu- It is also used to select which toolbars are visible in the Word environment. Commands include web layout, print layout, outline, task pane, toolbars, ruler, header and footer, footnotes, full screen view and zoom.

 

4. Insert menu - The insert menu is used to place various objects into your document, such as page numbers, pictures, symbols, comments and other objects. Commands include break, date and time, field, symbol, reference, web component, text box, file and hyperlink.

 

5. tools menu- the Tools Menu contains

Commands which include language, word count, speech, letters and mailing, macro, customize and more. Spelling and Grammar: This command will check the spelling and grammar of the current Microsoft Word document.
