NOTE

ONITSHA

It is located in Anambra state. It was founded by 18th century people who migrated north east of Benin. Staring form 1856, Onitsha served as the trading post for European traders. A year later, Bishop Samuel Ajayi Crowther and others established a missionary station there. It is the birth place of the popular Onitsha Market Literature genre. Its population is estimated at 500,000
