NOTE
A town is a place with many streets and buildings, where people live and work. Towns are larger than villages and smaller than cities.
LOKOJA
It is the capital of Kogi state. Macgregor Laird was the first European to arrive in the town of Lokoja. Lokoja was the headquarters for the Royal Niger Company and capital of the Protectorate of the Northern Nigeria. It lies at the confluence of the River Niger and River Benue. All the three religions exist in Lokoja. It has three major markets: New market(International market), Old market(holds every five days) and Kpata market(holds every five days). Its population is estimated at 195,000.
