Tubers are fleshy enlarged underground organs of some plants and are used to store energy in the form of starch

STEP 3 DEMONSTRATION | The teacher explains that Tuber crops are classified into two 1. root tubers e.g beet, carrot, parsnip, sweet potatoes etc 2. stem tubers e.g Irish potatoes, yams, etc
She further explains the uses of tubers 1. They are used as human food 2. they are used as animal feed 3. They are used in the manufacturing of starch, alcohol, and fermented beverages including beer
