The teacher revises the previous lesson on balanced diet and prevention of skin infections

EXPLANATION

She introduces the new topic by explaining the meaning of unbalanced diet

 

Unbalanced diet means a meal that has an excess or deficiency of some essential nutrients

She further explains the effects of unbalanced diet

1. one becomes overweight or obese

2. high blood pressure

3. heart diseases and stroke

4. underweight and malnourishment diseases e.g kwashiorkor, scurvy etc

5. diabetes, some cancers and even death in some cases

 

Pupils pay attention

She explains the uses of clothes

1. To cover our nakedness

2. to protect us from harsh weather

3. For beautifying the body

4. to maintain normal body temperature

5. To show our status and rank

6. to express mood or feeling

 

She further explains the care of the clothes

1. wash the clothes

2. rinse the clothes

3. dry the clothes

4. iron the clothes

5. store and hang the clothes appropriately

6. mend every torn part
