NOTE

A town is a place with many streets and buildings, where people live and work. Towns are larger than villages and smaller than cities.

ILORIN

It is located in Kwara state. A long war took place between the Fulani and Yoruba of Oyo in Ilorin (1817-1837) to seize the town of Ilorin. Neighbouring kings sided with Oyo to prevent the spread of Islam. Some provincial chiefs such as Onikoyi and Solaberu were involved in the war. Its population is 778,000
