SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to;
ENTRY BEHAVIOR : Pupils can identify and recite all the letters of the alphabets and the vowels
SET INDUCTION : The teachers uses the ‘I know my vowels’ song to arouse the pupils

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS : Index cards with root words and prefixes listed in the lesson, Large cardboard paper cut into circles with prefixes written on them; one set for each group

PERIOD 1 AND 2: Sounding, identification and writing of prefixes
