  2. Discuss the importance of marriage

INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNIQUES: Identification, explanation, playway method, questions and answers, demonstration, videos from source

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: pictures of citizens performing some civic responsibilities e.g voting, newspaper showing a security personnel, textbooks, audio-visuals etc, pictures/chart of a couple

She explains the word national

 

National means one that owes allegiance to or is under the protection of a nation without regard to the more formal status of citizen or subject.

 

Pupils pay attention and participates

STEP 3

DEMONSTRATION

She analyzes the Importance and benefits of being a national

1. You can permanently stay in Nigeria,

2. You can vote and take up government positions. You can even contest to become the president of Nigeria.

3. You do not need a residence permit before you apply for other countries visas.

4. As a Nigerian national, you can easily set up your own business without restrictions.

Authenticity is another essential element, and authentication can be defined as the process of ensuring and confirming that the identity of every individual is genuine and legitimate.

Marriage is a legally and socially sanctioned union between a man and a woman.

The appropriate time for marriage is when both the man and woman are matured and responsible enough to bear the responsibilities that comes with marriages

2. Procreation: to give birth to children

3. To provide social and economic security for children

4. To curb promiscuity and spread of sexually transmitted diseases
