THE EFIK PEOPLE
They are located in Cross river state. They are connected to the Ibibio people. Their soup is the famous Edikang kong. They engaged in heavy trading activities in the 18th-20th centuries. They are known for developing the Ekpe(Leopard) secret society which facilitated trade and ensured peace and unity among the Efik communities.
