SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  2. Mention the punishments of the Egyptians
  3. Describe times in their lives or in the lives of others when God saved them

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The Teacher introduces the new topic by explaining what deliverance means –

Deliverance means being free or to be rescued from all powers of the enemy

Pupils pay attention

STEP 2

EXPLANATION

She gives further explanation of how the Israelites crossed the red sea

-      God asked Moses to stretch out the rod and the Sea parted from night to morning and the Israelites crossed on dry land to the other side

Pupils pay attention and anticipate

Demonstration

Using the Bible story books and the pictures there in she narrates how the Israelites were punished

-      Seeing that God had parted the Red sea, Pharaoh rushed in with all his chariots and the Red sea closed in on them

-      All perished Pharaoh, his men and all their chariots

Pupils pay attention and participate

The teacher writes a short note on the board

NOTE

When they got to the Red sea, Moses looked up to God and God asked him to stretch his rod towards the sea. The sea began parting from night to morning until there was dry land right in the middle of it.

The Israelites with all their possessions all crossed to the other side of the sea on dry land,

Seeing that there was a dry land in the middle of the sea, Pharaoh, his men and all their chariots rushed in. God caused the sea to close in on them and they all perished in the Red sea.

Evaluation:          1. Define the term “Deliverance”

  1. How were the Israelites able to cross the red sea?
  2. What was the punishment of the Egyptians?

CLASSWORK: As in evaluation.

CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the pupils positively.
