Herbs are plants widely known for their useful medicinal and aromatic properties. Eg, sunflower, mustard, tomato, carrot, etc

1. Alkaloids

2. Anthocyanins

3. Anthraquinones

4. Cardiac Glycosides

5. Coumarins

6. Cyanogenic Glycosides

11. Tannins etc

 

Classes of herbs

1. seeds- anise, caraway, cumin, fennel, poppy, and sesame

2. Roots-Echinacea, Garlic, Ginger, Ginseng, Goldenseal.

3. Leaves-Parsley, Oregano, Basil, Thyme, Rosemary, Dill, Chives, Tarragon.

4. barks-quinine bark, oak bark, pepperbark, and willow bark
