SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  1. Identify images by name, state their purpose and importance and trace and draw the image

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The pupils are asked to mention the different things they can see in their environments. They teacher then introduces the new topic by explaining what drawing means-

 

Drawing is the art or technique of producing images on a surface, usually paper, by means of marks, usually of ink, graphite, chalk, charcoal, or crayon.

The teacher then further explains the purpose of drawing

1. To describe something

2. to document some evidence of history

3. to remember the past or past moments

4. to change people’s understanding of feeling

5. to explore different objects and nature

She further explains and demonstrates the importance of drawing

1. it enables one’s imagination to be more active

2. it helps in building concentration skills

3. it improves hand-eye coordination

4. it teaches creative problem solving

5. it helps in the development of fine motor skills

CLASS ACTIVITY: Pupils are asked to trace and colour a car, saucer and tea cup and to state the purpose and use of each item.

CLASSWORK: As in evaluation

CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the pupils positively
