  1. Give the Definition of Obedience and Faith
  2. Explain how Abraham demonstrated his Faith and Obedience

3.Enumerate the things promised to Abraham

Instructional Materials: toys, picture book showing Abraham about to sacrifice his son Isaac, Bible, story book

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher defines Faith as the trust and confidence in God. It means having no doubt in the existence and power of God

She also defines Obedience as the wiliness to follow the instructions addressed to one

EXPLANATION

She explains that Faith and Obedience are related, that for Faith to be exercised your Obedience has to be complete.

DEMONSTRATION

Using the Bible story books and the pictures there in she tells the story of the sacrifice of Isaac

     -How God tempted Abraham to know if he will Obey his commandment

     -How Abraham took his son Isaac to the mountain to be sacrifice

     -How God provided a Lamb to be sacrifice instead Of Isaac. Gen22:1- 19

The teacher writes a short note on the board

NOTE

A Sacrifice is to render things of genuine pleasure to God. In the Old testament a Sacrifice was done by killing Animals and offering it to God as a burnt offering but In the New testament, a Sacrifice is done by giving to God something He cherishes, it could be Money, valuables, Tangible Materials and can also be Service rendered unto God.

Evaluation:       1. The Son of Abraham is ______. (Ishmael, Isaac, Joshua)

  1. _______ was sacrifice on the Altar prepared by Abraham. (Lamb, Isaac, Sarah)

CLASSWORK: As in evaluation.

CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the pupils positively.
