SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  1. Define the Following terms: Disobedience, Punishment
  2. Explain the disobedience of Adam and Eve
  3. Discuss the punishment God gave to Adam, Eve and the Serpent.

Instructional Techniques: Identification, explanation, playway method, questions and answers, demonstration, story-telling

Instructional Materials: toys, picture book showing Eve eating the forbidden fruit, Bible, story book

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The Teacher defines disobedience as the refusal to obey. It is not the opposite of Obedience.

She defines Punishment as the penalty given to one due to wrong doing done by him.

EXPLANATION

She explains that when one disobeys a law they are punished. She explains that punishment is the reward of disobedience.

DEMONSTRATION

Using the Bible story books and the pictures there in she tells the story of

-How the Serpent tricked Eve from eating the forbidden fruit and how She gave it to Adam

       -How the Eyes of Adam and Eve was opened and how God cursed them and move them away from the garden. Gen 3:1-24

The teacher writes a short note on the board

NOTE

Disobedience is a Sin that pulls one away from God. The Bible say we are to obey our Parents, Elder ones and to obey and Follow the commandment of God. If one goes against any of the commandment and disobey people he will be rewarded with a punishment. As there is a reward for Disobedience there is also a reward for Obedience.
