CLASS ACTIVITY I: Pupils in small groups, sort the items in the class into groups of similar colours
CLASSWORK: As in evaluation
CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the pupils positively
PERIOD 2 and 3: Classification of computer by generation. Proper ways of sleeping and resting
PRESENTATION | TEACHER’S ACTIVITY | PUPIL’S ACTIVITY |
STEP 1 INTRODUCTION | The teacher revisits the previous lesson on first, second and third generations of computers
| Pupils pay attention |
STEP 2 EXPLANATION | The teacher then explains fourth and fifth generations of computers
FOURTH GENERATION(1971-1980) Fourth-generation computers used microprocessors which were designed using the LSI (Large Scale Integration) and VLSI (Very Large-Scale Integration) technology. The computers became small, portable, reliable and cheap. The computation time is in picoseconds. They became available both to the home user and for commercial use.
FIFTH GENERATION(1982-date) Fifth-generation computers are expected to be capable of learning and self-organization. The computers use SLSI (Super Large-Scale Integration) chips and have large memory requirements. They use parallel processing and are based on (AI) Artificial Intelligence. The fifth-generation computers are still being developed. | Pupils pay attention and participates |
STEP 3 DEMONSTRATION | The teacher then outlines the proper ways of sleeping and resting 1. Stick to a sleep schedule. Set aside no more than eight hours for sleep. ... 2. Pay attention to what you eat and drink. Don't go to bed hungry or stuffed. ... 3. Create a restful environment. Keep your room cool, dark and quiet. ... 4. Limit daytime naps. ... 5. Include physical activity in your daily routine. ... 6. Manage worries. | Pupils pay attention and participate |
STEP 4 NOTE TAKING | The teacher writes a short note on the board | The pupils copy the note in their books |
