  1. Explain the Parable of the Ten Virgins
  2. Mention the Lessons in the Parables
  3. State the importance of these lessons
  4. List various things we should do in preparation for the kingdom of God

Instructional Techniques: Identification, explanation, playway method, questions and answers, demonstration, story-telling

Instructional Materials: toys, picture book showing the Parable of the Ten Virgins, Bible, story book

INTRODUCTION

The Teacher defines who a Virgin is to the students.

EXPLANATION

She explains that the parable was used to illustrate the Kingdom of God and the meaning of it there of

DEMONSTRATION

Using the Bible story books and the pictures there in she tells the Parable of the ten Virgins

          -How the Kingdom of God is likened unto ten Virgins, 5 whom are wise while 5 whom are foolish.

NOTE TAKING

The teacher writes a short note on the board

NOTE

The Parable of the ten Virgin tells us we should be cautious and watchful with our life. It tells us that Jesus will come back to Earth to carry his children along with him but only his children who are watchful, obedient and cautious in life will be carried along with him.   

Evaluation:       1. What did the 5 foolish Virgin forget. (Money, Fuel, Oil)

  1. How many virgins went to meet the bridegroom. (Five, Ten, Twelve)

CLASSWORK: As in evaluation.

CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the pupils positively.
