STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The Teacher defines Parables as a simple story used to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson, as told by Jesus in the Gospel.

EXPLANATION

She explains that Parable as told by Jesus was story telling using it to pass an information across.

DEMONSTRATION

Using the Bible story books and the pictures there in she tells the story of the Sower

      -How a sower went to sow his seed

       -How some fell by the way side, some by the rock, thorns and good ground

       -How this relates to the Kingdom of God and its meaning. Lk8: 4-15

NOTE

Jesus spoke in parables in order to show simplify and explain better what he was communicating. His Parable was a form of storytelling which drew the attention of the people

Examples of some of the parables are: 1. The parable of the sower

2.Parable of the Mustard seed.              3. Parable of the Hidden treasures

Evaluation:       1. Parable told by Jesus is usually in form of storytelling. (True/False)

  1. ______ told Parable in the Bible. (Moses, Abram, Jesus)

CLASSWORK: As in evaluation.

CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the pupils positively.
