SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  1. Narrate the events that show the power of Jesus
  2. Explain why Jesus helped the people in the events
  3. Discuss the importance of obedience as illustrated in the great catch of fishes.
  4. Discuss the turning of water into wine

Instructional Techniques: Identification, explanation, playway method, questions and answers, demonstration, story-telling

Instructional Materials: toys, picture book showing the wedding at Cana, Bible, story book

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The Teacher defines Wedding as a marriage ceremony, where a Man and Woman vow to spend their Life together

The Teacher also defines obedience as listening and hearkening to a higher authority

STEP 2

EXPLANATION

She explains that Obedience to God is not only a way to worship him, but a way to get closer to him.

It demonstrates our faith and trust in God

DEMONSTRATION

Using the Bible story books and the pictures there in she tells the story of the Great catch

           -How Jesus entered Simon boat to preach to the people

           -How he commanded Simon to launch his net into the river

            -How there was a big catch of fishes and How Simon, James and John followed Jesus. Lk 5:1-11

Using the Bible story books and the pictures there in she tells the story of the Wedding at Cana

            -How there was a wedding and Mary, Jesus and his disciples was invited

            -How the wine in the wedding finished and How Mary asked Jesus for help and how She commanded the servants to obey Jesus

             -How Jesus turned water into wine. Jn 2:1-11

NOTE

The Power that Jesus demonstrated was the power which he received from God after the 40 days fasting. All Power are from God and that is why Jesus always pray to God before he performs any Miracle and he always give God all the Glory
