2.describe the Temptation of Jesus

  1. Mention the names of Jesus disciples
  2. Discuss the significance of Jesus calling the 12 to be His disciples

Instructional Materials: toys, picture book showing Jesus choosing his 12 disciples, Bible, story book

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The Teacher gives defines Temptation as a trial in which man has a free choice of being faithful or unfaithful to God.

She also defines Disciples as a Faithful follower of his master so as to learn from the master

Pupils pay attention

EXPLANATION

She explains how Jesus was tempted 3 times by the devil and how he overcame them all

She also explains how Jesus selected his 12 Disciples

Pupils pay attention and participate

STEP 3

DEMONSTRATION

Using the Bible story books and the pictures there in she tells the story of the Temptation of Jesus

          -How Jesus fasted for 40 days and night

          -How the Devil tested him by giving him 3 trials

          -How he overcame the temptation and Commanded that the devil be gone.

            Matt 4:1-11

Pupils pay attention and participate

The teacher writes a short note on the board
