1)List the uses of Staff or stave

2) Sing the school anthem/ national anthem using the staff

INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNIQUES: Identification, explanation, playword, method, questions and answers, demonstration.

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIAL: Audio visual resources: Music manuscript book, pencil, eraser, music notebook.

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The Teacher revise what was taught last week and show the pupils how to draw a simple staff on their book

EXPLANATION

She explains the uses of staff in music and how it instructs musicians on the pitch of their instrument.

She also uses the staff to write the pitch of their school anthem or National Anthem.

DEMONSTRATION

She uses a music manuscript, board, textbooks to show the pupils how a Treble and bass stave are drawn and she assist them as they practice in their notebook.

The teacher writes the note on the board while the pupils copy.

Uses of staff in music

The staff is a set of five equidistant, horizontal lines joined together by bar lines. It is used to clearly communicate musical notation. Symbols, dynamic and other performance direction are placed within above and below the staff
