  1. Define power
  2. Identify Bible evidence of the power of prayer
  3. Mention people in the bible that prayed.

Instructional Materials: toys, picture book showing Paul and Silas praying in prison, Bible, story book

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The Teacher defines Power as the ability or capacity to do something.

She explains that the Power of prayer is the ability to do things through prayer

Pupils pay attention

STEP 2

EXPLANATION

She explains that Power is the possession of control, authority, or influence over others and things.

She explains that one of the reason Christian Pray is to receive Power from God

Pupils pay attention and participate

DEMONSTRATION

Using the Bible story books and the pictures there in she tells the story of Paul and Silas in prison

          -How Paul and Silas were kept in prison

         - How they prayed and worship God in the Night

         - How they escaped the prison

Pupils pay attention and participate

NOTE TAKING

The teacher writes a short note on the board

The pupils copy the note

 

NOTE

The Power of prayer comes from God who hears our prayer and answer them. Prayer places us in contact with the Almighty God, and we should expect Almighty result, whether or not he chooses to grant our request.
