1.List different positions Christians could take while praying.

2.Name people in the bible that prayed in the different positions.

  1. State possible reasons why people pray in these different positions.

INTRODUCTION

The teacher defines position as a particular way in which a person body part is kept

She defines Prayer position as the way the body is kept when praying

EXPLANATION

She explains that there are several positions in which one take when praying-

    1. Standing

    2. kneeling

    3. Prostrating

    4. Lying Down

    5. Sitting

DEMONSTRATION

Using the Bible, she gives examples of people who prayed using different praying positions

          -How Daniel kneeled when he prayed. Dan. 6:10

           - How Abraham lied down when talking to Jesus. Gen 17: 3

            - How David sat down when he talked to God. 2 Sam 7: 18

The teacher writes a short note on the board

NOTE

Praying position is the way we keep our body when praying. Standing, kneeling and sitting are the most common types of prayer position while prostrating and lying down are not so common.
