The teacher revises the previous lesson on the Ngas and Birom People

THE HAUSA PEOPLE

They are one of the three major ethnic groups in Nigeria. Legend has it that Bayajida is the founder/hero of the Hausa people. He is believed to have moved from Baghdad to Kanem-Bornu and then to present hausa land. For the most part, they practice Islam.

Hausas are known for mass agricultural production and move their crops to the East and West for sales and purchase the western and eastern crops bak to their land

The Hausas have made notable contributions to the culture and political development of Nigeria.
